Photo Analysis
- Feelings/mood- My photos this week feel busy with life, from the every day to the sublime. I liked the HDR affect on the two men talking...it turned the everyday into the sublime.
- Subject placement- Placement is nearly as much being lucky as it is intent. I realized that intent can be just the right thing to tip the scales on opportunity. And at one point this week, I blew opportunity because I second-guessed myself. But at another time, I was ready for opportunity when it happened.
- Multi-layered - City-scapes make it easy to add layer. But in some photos, like with the helicopter and flag, I was aiming for no layer at all.
- Depth of field- I generally struggle here, but this week I opted for easy settings using wide apertures. In nearly every instance, it worked out.
- Light- Where I failed to get optimal sunlight, Photoshop made up the difference. The added flare is an amazing tool to add sun.
- Improvement- This week's lesson for me was courage; to carry my camera everywhere, look like a tourist and try to be inconspicuous. I find it difficult to balance being inconspicuous with being courageous.
